Like | Follow | Subscribe Hello!! Welcome back to my channel. Thank you for tuning in. I hope you enjoyed the recipe video. In this video, I share how I make Sauteed Sukumawiki with Onions. This method is borrowed from my mum. She doesn`t like tomatoes in her veggies due to acidy so I grew fond of having my veggies the same way as her. Ingredients 1 Bunch of Sukumawiki/Collard Greens 1 Bunch of Spinach 1 Large Onion Enough cooking oil for sauteeing 1/4 Tsp Salt Beef Cube (Optional) Tip* Saute/cook the onions to a golden brown colour. Make sure not to burn it. The browning of the onions will add a nice flavour to the veggies. I don`t really like the taste of beef/chicken cubes but if you do please feel free to add it. _ ENGAGE WITH ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram : 🤍 Facebook : 🤍 _ Music : Mama Emmit Fenn #Sukumawiki #kienyejivegetables #cookingwithnimoh #collardgreens

Sukuma Wiki (braised collard greens) recipe - Learn how to cook sukuma wiki. Sukuma Wiki is one of Kenya's national dishes. It is also popular in other East African countries. The name sukuma wiki is a Swahili word which literally means to ''push the week'' or ''stretch the week'' in English. This simple vegan Kenyan recipe can easily be put together in just 5 minutes. You can, however, also have it with beef or fish. It is usually served with ugali (a type of firm dough made from maize flour) but you can also have it with your favourite paleo, low carb or Keto main dish. ➡️ Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more tasty recipes! ➡️ Let us connect on socials: ❤️Instagram: 🤍 ❤️Facebook: 🤍 ❤️Pinterest: 🤍 ❤️Twitter: 🤍 ➡️More Delicious Recipes: 🤍 ➡️ PRINTABLE RECIPE + MORE AFRICAN RECIPES: 🤍 ➡️ INGREDIENTS: ▢1 bunch sukuma wiki (collard greens) leaves (about 11/2 pounds or 700 grams) ▢2 medium-sized red tomatoes ▢½ small onion (white or red) ▢¼ cup olive oil ▢salt to taste (you can also add some pepper but this is absolutely optional)

Anji's back in the HHV kitchen for another healthy recipe demo! This time she's making a traditional African dish, called Ugali Sukuma Wiki.
