Beautiful moulds of wings and clocks reminded me how precious and fleeting time is. Sometimes time flies as fast as if it had wings. When creating this project, time stopped for a few moments for me, and I hope it will for you too when you watch the video. I made the decorative elements from two-component resin, coated them with transparent gesso and then painted them with brown acrylic paint and pink mica powder. To finish, I used white silver wax. Mixed-media art canvas - Tutorial for beginners - DIY home decor I've been looking at this map for a long time, and finally, it inspired me to make this painting. In a cozy summer forest, the branches of trees take turns, and my gaze falls on a glade where a deer is standing. In this video, I show how to make such an incredibly beautiful painting using mixed media techniques. This is a multi-layered decor, which as a whole gives very beautiful effects, which can be viewed endlessly. It will become a beautiful decoration of your home or a wonderful gift for a person dear to you. I used the following materials: - canvas on a stretcher - size 40*50 cm (15*20 inches) - a decoupage map with the plot of a summer forest - acrylic paints of the following colors - light green, dark green, ocher, black, white - glue for decoupage - colored structural paste - mine is green with crumbs - colored voluminous gels - I have green, yellow and transparent with golden sparks of colors - background stencils - I have different pebbles, twigs and leaves - a large thematic stencil with patterns and an inscription. Tools: - synthetic flat brush - large for paint, glue and varnish - mastihin - dry wipes. Now you can support the channel and become a sponsor. Mixed Media Backgrounds ♥ Here is a little insight into how I achieve the backgrounds for my mixed media work. Here you see me creating texture and adding pattern and depth. The creative task for Day 2 is to paint a quick background or two in no more than 10 minutes. 🎨 5-DAY Creative Elements Challenge 🎨 🌿 Access the supply list 👉 🤍 Quite often, when I am short on time, I head to my studio and paint a few backgrounds without thinking about the outcome of the painting. If you have multiple sketchbooks, it's fun to lay them all out and drag, drip, and move paint across all the different pages. You can see a great example of this at the end of the video. So freeing! For this demo, I am working in watercolour, but I use a very similar approach to painting backgrounds in acrylic. Of course, there is no right or wrong way to paint a background! You can use one colour or several, go light or dark, include marks or keep them minimal, and so on. Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial: STEAMPUNK HEART with wooden cogs and gears, black background and acrylic paint. It was great fun to make this mixed media canvas. The heart is made of recycled cereal box. I used matt black acrylic paint to the background. You could use black gesso as well. I also used turquoise, orange, metallic bronze and gold acrylic paint.
