I’m Hanbit, professional pastry chef and CEO of Sugar Lane Baking Academy based in Seoul, Korea. Funny enough, my background had nothing to do with baking - far from it. I studied mathematics at university and then worked in finance, strategy consulting and IT. Then one day in 2018, I quit my job and enrolled at a pastry school. I have loved it ever since! As my story suggests, I really enjoy being a pastry chef and I am keen to share the joy of baking with as many people as possible. Baking can seem daunting at first but as long as you take it step-by-step anyone can do it - even someone with no baking background like myself managed to become a professional pastry chef! I'll try my best to include detailed explanations and tips in my recipes so that you will be able to bake amazing desserts. It’s simple and you can add what you like to it. The basic tip to note when making granola is use Jumbo Oats and bake it until it’s evenly toasted. Add equal amounts of oil and honey in a bowl and mix in oats that would be evenly coated and after it’s cooked add the dried fruits and nuts if your choice. Hope you enjoy! Well, since we're all social distancing and/or on lockdown due to covid19, filming for HTK has had to be postponed. So I'm home...as we all are. But since the cooking continues, I thought I would share with you anyway what I am cooking! It's not the slick video that you're all used to seeing on my channel, but it's what we can manage right now given the circumstances. Hope this finds everyone well, safe, and sane, and I hope I can provide some entertainment and inspiration while you're all stuck a home! We just ran out of granola so it's a great opportunity for me to share my recipe with you because this is an AWESOME granola recipe. It's one that I have been making for years and years because it is so good, and hubby loves granola and yogurt for breakfast! Granola is a great thing to make during this time as it uses only pantry, shelf-stable ingredients. You can change up the dried fruit and nuts to whatever you have, change up the spices, and you can even change the honey to maple syrup for a different flavour or for a vegan version as well! Recipe here: 🤍 Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Granola. Most of us start our day with a bowl of dry cereal. Let's face it, it is so convenient; just open the box and pour. But with the rising prices of commercial dry cereals it is good to have other alternatives. One excellent choice is to make your own Granola. It's so easy to make and you'll love its deliciously sweet flavor and crisp and crunchy texture. We welcome questions on our Facebook Page: 🤍

Stop wasting money on store bought bars and make this healthy granola bar recipe instead! Clean, simple ingredients like oats, peanut butter, and honey. Less than $.50 per bar, high fiber, low sugar, and great for kids and adults! ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ CLICK FOR RECIPE ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ ✅HEALTHY GRANOLA BARS INGREDIENTS: ➤2 c old-fashioned rolled oats ➤3/4 c roughly chopped nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, peanuts or a mix ➤1/4 c sunflower seeds or pepitas or additional chopped nuts ➤1/4 c unsweetened coconut flakes ➤1/2 c honey ➤1/3 c creamy peanut butter ➤2 tsp pure vanilla extract ➤1/2 tsp ground cinnamon ➤1/4 tsp kosher salt ➤1/3 c mini chocolate chips or dried fruit or nuts ✅HEALTHY GRANOLA BARS DIRECTIONS: 1. Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8- or 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper so that two sides of the paper overhang the sides like handles. Coat generously with nonstick spray. 2. Spread the oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, and coconut flakes on a rimmed, ungreased baking sheet. Toast in the oven until the coconut looks lightly golden and the nuts are toasted and fragrant, about 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees F. 3. Meanwhile, heat the honey and peanut butter together in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is smoothly combined. Remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. 4. As soon as the oat mixture is finished toasting, carefully transfer it to the pan with the peanut butter. With a rubber spatula, stir to combine. Let cool for 5 minutes, then add the chocolate chips (if you add the chocolate chips immediately, they will melt). 5. Scoop the batter into the prepared pan. With the back of a spatula, press the bars into a single layer (you also can place a sheet of plastic wrap against the surface to deter sticking, then use your fingers; discard the plastic prior to baking). 6. Bake the healthy granola bars for 15 to 20 minutes: 20 minutes will yield crunchier bars; at 15 they will be slightly chewier. With the bars still in the pan, press a knife down into the pan to cut into bars of your desired size (be sure to pick a knife that will not damage your pan—I typically cut into 2 rows of 5). Do not remove the bars. Let them cool completely in the pan. 7. Once the bars have cooled completely, use the parchment to lift them onto a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to cut the bars again in the same place, going over your lines to separate. Pull apart and enjoy! ✨Thanks for watching! School Safe Granola Bars are on the menu in Chef Anna Olson's amazing kitchen, and she is going to teach you how to make this delicious recipe from scratch! Follow along with the recipe below! Subscribe for more video recipes: 🤍 Recipe These are school-safe (no nuts) granola bars that use as little fat as possible – much better than the processed versions. Yield: 12 to 16 Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Ingredients 1 ½ cups (120 g) rolled oats (not instant or quick cook) 1 cup (100 g) quinoa flakes (or spelt, barley or further oats flakes) ½ cup (170 g) honey ¼ cup (45 g) virgin coconut oil zest of 1 orange 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract ½ tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon pinch salt ½ cup (60 g) unsalted, roasted shelled pumpkin seeds ¼ cup (30 g) unsalted, roasted sunflower seeds ½ cup (70 g) dried cranberries ½ cup (80 g) raisins Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and grease an 8-inch square pan and line it with parchment paper so that it comes up the sides of the pan. 2. Spread the oats and quinoa flakes (or other flakes) onto the baking tray and toast for about 12 minutes, stirring once, until lightly browned. 3. While the grains are toasting, heat the honey, coconut oil, orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until the coconut oil has melted. Place the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries and raisins in a large mixing bowl. 4. Pour the toasted grains into the bowls with the seeds and fruit and add the warm honey mixture. Stir this well to fully coat everything and scrape this into the prepared pan. Press the granola mixture VERY firmly into the pan (using a flat dish helps to do so without sticking) – this ensures the bars will hold together when sliced. Bake the bars for about 15 minutes, until lightly browned at the edges. Cool the granola bars in the pan before slicing. The granola bars will keep, well-wrapped and at room temperature, for a week, or they can be frozen for up to a month.
