Thanks to everyone for lending us their cars for this race: - BMW M5: 🤍 - BMW M5: 🤍DNAAUTOHAUS - AMG E63: 🤍 - AMG E63: 🤍exclusiveautos6770 We’ve got our hands on the all-new Audi RS6 Performance, and it’s about to go head-to-head against its key competitors, the BMW M5 Competition and Mercedes-AMG E63 S! Think this line-up seems familiar? Well, that’s because it is - we’ve done this race before! The question is, will the all-new RS6 have what it takes to bring down the competition? Well, let’s first find out by checking out the stats. Starting with the RS6, it’s powered by the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 as before, but the power has been dialled up, and it now produces an amazing 630hp and 850Nm of torque! This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, however, the car is the heaviest in this line-up, tipping the scales at 2,090kg! It’s also the most expensive car here, with a price tag of around £113,000. Alongside it, we have the BMW. It’s packing a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, which is good for 625hp and 750Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,865kg. It’s also slightly cheaper than the RS6, at around £111,000. Then finally we have the AMG. It’s actually the least powerful car here, with its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 putting down 612hp and 850Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed multi-clutch gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,950kg. It’s the cheapest car in this line-up, too, costing around £106,000. So will the most powerful car win it? Or will the BMW’s incredible launch system propel it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE! 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63S: First drive and full 4K review of this newly redesigned 2021 Mercedes Benz E63S AMG. I tested this luxury sedan for the past week and got to know it inside and out. This extensive Mercedes car review includes exterior shots, driving clips, exhaust noises, interior footage, launch control and POV driving scenes. The launch control was my favorite. First we take a look at the exterior of the 2021 Mercedes E63 S. 0:22 Next we listen to the exhaust of the 2021 E63 S. 3:31 Then we take a look at the interior of the 2021 Mercedes E63S. 3:50 Then we dive into the 12.3 Inch Display Screens (12.3 inch touchscreen display and widescreen instrument cluster) 6:38 Lastly, we go out and drive the E63 S on the road. 11:13 I test out the launch control of the 2021 Mercedes E63S AMG and it is extremely fast! The launch throws you back in your seat and as you see in the review I am stunned! Mercedes Launch Control is at 16:46 We have a handcrafted AMG 4.0L Biturbo V8 Engine producing 603 Horsepower (HP) and 627 lb-ft of torque. We also have the AMG Dynamic select, AMG Performance Exhaust System, AMG Speedshift MCT 9-speed Transmission, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with Drift Mode, AMG Drive Unit and Steering Wheel Buttons and AMG Sport Suspension to name a few. The exterior color of this vehicle is Designo Selenite Grey Magno. The three most distinctive changes on this 2021 Mercedes model are the updates to the front grille, the back end and the interior updates of the steering wheel and MBUX (now new to the E Class Mercedes). This 2021 Mercedes E63S has redesigned headlamps and our test vehicle had the optional exterior lighting package giving us the LED intelligent light system and Adaptive high beam assist. These headlamps anchor in our vertical bar AMG grille (Panamericana) with 13 vertical slats with an A wing design. The predecessor E class (2020 Mercedes E Class) had an V wing design. The Mercedes Three point star houses some of our sensors for the safety features. As part of the AMG carbon fiber Exterior 1 Package, we had carbon fiber on the front splitter, lower rocker panels, above the V8 Bitrubo 4Matic+ indication, and above the rear diffuser. We have gorgeous 20” AMG Forged Cross Spoke wheels in matte black and the AMG Carbon Ceramic Braking System with bronze painted calipers. Our test vehicle had the AMG night package(high gloss black touches on the mirror housings, window frame trim, black chrome exhaust tips and several other areas). The back end has been dramatically reshaped and we now have horizontal oriented LED tail lamps that extend out onto the rear boot. As far as cargo space. We’ve got 13.1 cubic feet and a 40/20/40 split on the rear seats. This 2021 Mercedes gives us new textured tailpipes with grooves on the inside and out finished in black chrome. I think this exhaust has a great sound to it and I love the back burbles on deceleration. Our press car had heated seats as well as ventilated seats. These beautiful seats were finished in black exclusive Nappa leather with silver stitching and silver seatbelts and had AMG embossment on the headrests We had 13 Burmester speakers located throughout the cabin with 590 watts. The E-class now has the Mercedes Benz User Experience or MBUX. My favorite update to this 2021 E63 S is the new AMG Performance steering wheel with a twin spoke and flat bottom design. The AMG Drive Unit Steering Wheel Button makes me feel like I am in a rocket and turning the dial in preparation for blast off. Today, we ask the question if this gen of E63 is a future classic, and if we should buy one and hold on to it! We will also celebrate this final V8 E63, as it’s been the best generation of this car ever. And I’m also going to share with you the best mods you can do to extract the potential of your E Class too!! This generation of E63 has been one of the best, if not the best. It was the first mainstream performance sedan to introduce switchable 4WD to RWD drift mode, thanks to the decoupling of the front axle. A move quickly mimicked by rivals like the M5, and to this day not matched by Audi and others. It was the only one in segment to have dynamic engine mounts, which for the longest time made it the most dynamic of the segment. In fact, for its entire lifetime of 8 years, the E63 Wagon sat as the king of the Nurburgring as the world’s quickest wagon. Only recently dethroned by the M3 Touring. The engine is superior, one of the world’s best in the 4.0 twin scroll bi turbo engine making 612BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.5 — also in pre-facelift E63. It also has the engine on rivals with it’s gearbox, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G with a wet multi-plate start-off clutch, instead of the slow torque converters of rivals. It’s an engine and gearbox combo that will remain relevant for years to come too, as the Euro 7 version will be based on this one, and will last a decade at least! This is the final edition, and is technically identical to the standard E63 S. Unique points include the Magno Graphite paint work, final edition livery, and a unique wheel finish of chrome with black. The Afflaterbach badge also finds its way on the c pillar - all mimicking the C63 final edition. The interior is also unique. MODS ——— Now, let’s move on to mods!! One problem with my car, is like every other one in the UK — it came delivered with the basic LED headlights. While not looking so different, their performance at night is mildly pathetic.
